    Couple Questions

I'm new to this whole tournament organizing, mantis situation. So I have a couple questions dealing with it.

    1) Deals with eliminating players during the tournament. Like if they lose 3 times or so. How do I get them out of the tournament for the rest of the day.

    2) Can I give people UDE #'s via MANTIS? If so, how?

    Re: Couple Questions

Assuming you're not doing Swiss pairings, you'd have to mark them down as a drop.

Did you mean how to look up their number via MANTIS?

Currently I am using swiss pairings. I think it's the easiest out of them all.
I know how to look their number up via MANTIS. But for people who just got into it. Is there a way I can give them a number or do I have to give them and e-mail address.

    Re: Couple Questions

Okay. Yeah, there should be a Drop Box/Drop Option for that. That is, if that player chooses to drop, of course.

For newer players, if you don't already have the cards, you can contact TO@upperdeck.com, if I remember correctly.

Until they arrive, you should have the option of creating a Proxy number for that player.

    Re: Couple Questions

yes, you can contact TO@upperdeck.com and request UDE Membership cards. That is the only way you can register new players who do not have one. they need to fill out the sheet, and then you give them the card, enter the info into the mantis system, and then mail the slips off to upperdeck. Once you upload the tournaments (provided they are sanctioned) those players will be added to the global player list.

I really appreciate the help you two. I just e-mailed "to@upperdeck.com" about the membership cards.

You probably won't get a response right away, because of the massive amounts of email they get so just hold tight. If you don't get a response in a week, just send another email. They are usually quicker to respond after that. But no worries.
