    Plant deck- rate and comments/advice

    Deck 40

    2-card of safe return
    1-brain control

    1-pot of avarice
    1-MST
    1-magical mallet
    1-creature swap
    1-heavy storm
    1-foolish burial
    1-monster reborn
    1-mark of the rose
    1-mind control

    Traps 7
    2-polinosis
    1-solemn
    1-dark bribe
    1-trap dustshoot
    1-limit reverse
    1-divine wrath

    Extra

    2-goyo
    1-thought ruler

Any advice to improve my deck and what to put in my side-deck?
Also, I only have the 1 solemn and 1 dark bribe. I'm trying to get another lord poison and I have 1 botanical lion coming in the mail. Any of the other cards in my deck are the only copies I have i.e. only 1 mark of the rose and 1 tytannial. Thanks in advance

Re: Plant deck- rate and comments/advice

Here is my working plant deck Total of 42 cards.

    Monsters = 20
    3 - Lonefire
    3 - Gigaplant
    2 - Tytannial
    3 - Lord Poison
    3 - Copy Plant
2 - UFO Turtle (searches for Lonefire)
    1- Nettles
    1 - Sangan
    1- Spirit Reaper
    1 - Snipe Hunter

    Spells = 16
1 - Double Summon (Mainly for Gigaplant, or copy plant for tuning)
1 - Swords of Revealing Light (Good Stall)
1 - Mark of the Rose (Only have one but really need another one)
    1 - Brain Control
1 - Mind Control (Need at least one more)
2 - Card of Safe Return
    1 - Pot of Avarice
    1 - Giant Trunade
    1 - Lightning Vortex
    1 - Swing of Memories
    1 - Monster Reborn
    1 - World Tree
    3 - Miracle Fertailizer

    Traps = 6
    3 - Skill Drain
    1 - Pollinosis
    1 - Torrential Tribute
    1 - Limit Reverse

    Side Deck = 15
    3 - Light Imprisoning
    2 - Shadow Imprisoning
    2 - Deck Lockdown
    3 - Royal Decree
    1 - Heavy Storm
    1 - Botanical Girl
    1 - Injection Fairy Lily
    1 - Magic Jammer
    1 - Divine Wrath

    Extra Deck = 15
    2 - Magical Android
    1 - Queen of Thorns
    1 - Goyo Guardian
    1 - Gaia
    1 - Iron Chain Dragon
    1 - Psychic Life Trancer
    2 - Black Rose Dragon
    2 - Stardust
    2 - Red Dragon Archfiend
    1 - Colossal Fighter
    1 - Avenging Knight Parshath

As of right now, this deck is stable. It does pretty well in our local tournament, Ranking in the top 8.

Solemn would definitely be a good add to this, and possibly dark bribe.

You definitely need another Black Rose. First one will blow up field and second one will attack directly if you can pull them both out in one turn.

I like the idea of cold wave being in the deck, although I would side it and use another fertilizer. If you can get another Tytannial that would greatly help. That Card will easily replace Solemn.

For my deck I am thinking of replacing one of the UFO turtles with a breaker.

Also, if breaker isnt in Main, it should definitely be sided, for use against Secret Village.

Overall, your deck isn't bad. I know its hard to get the more expensive cards, but if you can work on that, your plant deck will definitely do well.

Re: Plant deck- rate and comments/advice

    I'm looking forward to Dark Legends because it will have both Solemn (super) and Dark bribe (ultra). How is skill drain working in your deck with gigaplant since it is the main way to reborn your plants? I like cold wave on the first turn and burn the 3 lonefires to get out a gigaplant means my opponent will have little to defend, {evil smile}

Re: Plant deck- rate and comments/advice

Skill drain is the card that I use to mainly swap out when siding. And also, I use it mainly to defend against Gladiator Beasts, and Monarchs. Usually, I draw it after I get lonefires and Gigaplant out, so it doesnt necessarily hurt the deck.

Don't forget the fact that Skill Drain laughs at DAD, Stardust, JD and many other powerful monsters. ^_^

Re: Plant deck- rate and comments/advice

Oh yea, that's right. Exiled force and Stardust can use their effects because the resolution of them is in the graveyard, not on the field where Skill Drain has control.

Still, Skill Drain can seriously mess with a lot of decks...except little city...

Re: Plant deck- rate and comments/advice

I want to offer some advice but I'm not quite all that familier with the new plant cards yet.

Could you explain the objective/strategy of your deck a little bit?

It appears to be a Plant/Beatdown deck, is that correct?

ya, basically. Swarm the field with plants. Bringing Blackrose out to blow the field and then using the mulitple graveyard revival for free attacks. I've found that cold wave works exceptionally well with the deck. I'm mostly needing advice on my side deck. What would be the best cards to include to deal with the heavy hitters: glad beasts, lightsworn, teledad, etc.

The only thing I can really think of would be to side Compulsory Evacuation Device and maybe Dimensional Prison to help combat other peoples Synchro monsters.

Re: Plant deck- rate and comments/advice

In the age of quick drawing and monster control, this deck is starting to make a stand. I feel that it is still incomplete, possibly adding another set after CSOC. However,  I think this deck will definitely do well later down the line. The Card of safe return allows for an easy one up on hand count especially with gigaplants effect. That is one of the strategies. The other is to swarm the field with all your high level monsters, and beat down the opponent, while protecting with tytannials (a plant solemn judgment really).

There are no lvl 4 judges at this time. Franklin has lvl 4 rules certification and is the only one so far with that, but he is still a lvl 3 till he passes lvl 4 player mgmt.  So whoever told you they were a lvl 4 judge was lying to you.
