    Re: PRIORITY RULINGS

Back again, though I may have posted "Incorrect Information". From what I wrote, this is what I believe that how Priority ruling should go because I play fairly and no matter what I card I play I will always let my opponent to have he chance to respond because I think it is fair to do so.

Other players in similar forums have stated differently but I do not care if that solution or the others are "correct". There is no fully correct answer to this Priority ruling. What I wrote and others have wrote are only what we believe in what is fair in how this particular confusing ruling should work regardless who follows it and let others know that these solutions out there.

    Re: PRIORITY RULINGS

Except, there is a correct answer to how priority is played as has been mentioned on the Judge list before.

So sharing information is one thing.  But don't pass off how you "think" things should be played as "fact" for how they are played.  Because it sounds like you are playing quite a few things wrong and by passing on mis-information, you do a disservice not only to yourself, but to other people who are trying to learn esp. when they play people who do know the proper way to play.

    Re: PRIORITY RULINGS

Im sorry that you were under the impression that there was no official rules regarding priority.

Official rules regarding priority do exist. The basics regarding them can be found in the Yugioh TCG Official Rulebook (version 7.0).

More complex rules surrounding priority can be found here on this forum, on the Judges List, and in my guide to priority, which is based directly upon research into the advanced gameplay FAQ, basic gameplay FAQ, the official rulebook, and upon hundreds of individual card rulings that I have researched over the last 4 years.

Trust me when I say this....

Any information you hear regarding priority from an expert in the game, of which there are numerous such experts on this forum - Ryoutaro, Illusion, D1Case, Myself, Robert Wakeman, Franklin, and John Danker just to name a few, will be FACT, as each of us have many years of experience under our belts, and know this information inside and out.

In fact, the complexities of Chain Construction including (but not limited to) Priority happens to be my strongest area of expertise (of which there are few on this forum who know more), as anyone on this forum can verify.

Were this not the case, I would not have 3 articles stickied on the first page of the Unofficial Rules Forum dealing with this very subject in different situations.

No one's been able to take me seriously... But that will change when I beat you at a children's card game.

    Re: PRIORITY RULINGS

Play people the way you want to play and I will play people the way I want to play. As long as you think its fair (and also your opponents thinks so) then fine. As long I think its fair (and also my opponents thinks so) then fine. Regardless how it works,

As long it is fair, my way is correct to me and your way is correct to you.

You shouldn't worry about players who follow what I wrote about this rule because you will never meet them and you will probably win anyway if you did so.

Play the way you want to play. It does not worry me at all.

    Re: PRIORITY RULINGS

You're not getting it and you're making it crystal clear you don't want to get it.  Ok fine.  We've explained the proper way to play not based on how we think we should play it, but rather how the rules say to play the game.  Noone will force you to listen, but as I mentioned above, you do everyone a disservice when you tell other people blatently incorrect information based on what you "think" rather than what is "fact".

    Re: PRIORITY RULINGS

    Forgot to mention.

I don't play Professionaly and never will. I just play with friends for fun. And all I wanted was for my opinion on this rule to be shared with people like me and see what others said about it and take into account that what I said and how some people (if any) think about this rule Correct or Not.

But in the professional world of yu gi oh the ways mentioned in other forums is the only correct solution (It could be worng, We all don't know) and none of you should write "You're Wrong" or try to correct me, you will never convince me. My way is how I play and i think its fair and also the way you play is fair in the pro world.

Play the way you want to play as long as you think its fair to play that way.

    Without arguement, knowledge isn't obtained

    Re: PRIORITY RULINGS

For the record, this isn't the "rules on how to play professionally", it's the "rules on how to play" period.  After all they do make a "rule book" so there is a correct way to play.

But at this point anything else that could be said is pointless so I'm done.

    Re: PRIORITY RULINGS

DJ, one of the biggest mistakes to your first post was the folloowing:

    2411966:

Players still have trouble with understanding the rules of Priority. I have been playing for many years and have understood Priority.

    Then,

    2411966:

I hope everyone can understand this Priority issue now and enjoy the game even more.

By saying these things you are trying to pass yourself off as giving the correct and exact rules for priority. You need to realize that giving “what you think” is the correct rules for priority is wrong to do. People come to these forums in order to learn the correct way for doing things, not what you have decided is the fair way to do things.

By posting the original post in this thread you are misleading them away from what they want to learn, and what UDE, Konami, and everyone else who plays the game correctly wants them to learn.

We are not fighting you, we just want you to understand how things work around here, since you admitted you are a new poster.

    Peace.
