After looking at the 3 famous virus cards, and realizing that only two of them really see play, I got to thinking, how can I make all 3 of them easier to use? And the name Plague Wolf came to mind.

Plague Wolf starts off with the ability to pull off CCV, but with it's own effect you can also pull off Deck Devistation Virus. Then, by adding the simple fieldspell Mystic Plasma Zone it can pull off Eradicator Epidemic Virus (Odd how the name Plague Wolf is in conjunction with the Virus concept... Intentional?) Anyway, I thought it fun to try and base a deck on this concept of making the virus cards easier to use.

why King of the Skull Servants? you dont have Skull Servants or the lady in wight.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that in my explanation.

Basically, when KoSS is on the field, and there are none in the gy, his atk is 0. Add 1 to the graveyard, and he becomes 1000. In either case, he's perfect for Crush in this situation. Add 2 to the grave, and he's Devistatable. Add Mystic Plasma Zone and he's Eradicatable. Not to mention that if I have crush in hand, and 1 or 2 KoSS in the grave, I can set my KoSS from the hand, and if destroyed in battle, special summon it by removing 1 KoSS to make it Crushable.

 

Not to mention that if I need to make him have less attack all I need to do really is use Book of Life, or Zombie Master to special summon the others. It's just something I'm gonna toy with.

Ok I tested the deck out yesterday, and just as I knew it would, it totally bombed. Does anyone have any suggestions? Perhaps I should put in Burden of the Mighty's to make it easier for DDV to kick off properly?

I'm not sure i'll be able to help, but why exactly did it fail? Could you not get the viruses out? Did you not get the monster prescence you needed in order to win after playing the viruses? i'm just asking 'cause knowing the problem helps tremendously with knowing what cards to add.

Ah, you are so right there, I guess I should elaborate a little.

Let's see... I faced a Dark Monarch deck with the deck. The sad thing was that 100% of his monsters were over 1500 attack, so DDV had no bearing at all against the opponent, he ran cards like Kycoo, and such.

I'm guessing the reason it failed mostly was because I was unable to get my Virus cards to actually work out. The first round I actually started off with CCV but had no monsters in hand. So I set it and 2 DDV, and used card destruction to try and draw into a monster, but had no luck getting a weak one, I drew 1 Zombie Master and Card of Safe Return, book of life, Mezuki, cards I couldn't use yet. All s/t, so after checking the opponent's grave for heavy storm (I was the FTP, so after playing Card Destruction I wanted to check) They didn't have it, but I went ahead and took the risk, adding Shrink to the field.

Now, the smart thing to do probably would have been to shrink my own Zombie Master the second I had the chance, then, if they heavied I would have been able to tribute my monster for CCV, but nooooo I waited ... and they used heavy storm. From that moment I had crappy luck because he used Kycoo and The Dark Monarch's repeatedly to screw me over.

So basically you're saying that your opponent was "immune" to your deck (lol sorry 'bout the pun I couldn't resist). Well then you could try adding in 2 Trap of Darkness and taking out 1 DDV and 1 EEV. That would let you reuse any virus that you wanted to twice. Also, i suppose you could try cards to slow you're opponent until you can get to the right virus (Gravity Bind, Wall of Revealing Light, Swords of Revealing Light). Also, WoRL would get your life points down enough to use Trap of Darkness.

viruses are very expensive. I'm betting thats how it failed. even if it played a deck with every type of card your viruses target then the best you can hope to do is hit a fourth of their deck at any given time, if you et upwards of half your doing well and still not winning. Cursh is the only playable virus and even then its questionable with stardust floating the Extra Deck. its just alot for the deck to considder, so I don't think viruses are a good way to go.

I suppose I could take out DDV and just favor CCV and EEV. As soon as we find out how Trap of Darkness works I might just put that in there as well.

Also thinking of cards that allow me to peek at my opponent's hand so that I can play Dark Spiritual Art just for fun.
